Hangan Steel started when Hangan Construction purchased Affordable Steel in 2018, a 40 year old structural steel fabrication business. Adding this to the existing building, carpentry and framing business allowed us to bring residential framing expertise into the Structural Steel industry.
We quickly moved out of the smaller Heidelberg factory to a dedicated 500m2 Bayswater facility with two new 5 tonne cranes. By showing builders the benefits of using carpenters as steel installers we have been able to grow our customer base with loyal builders who appreciate the extra service and professionalism that we can supply.
March 2022 saw an additional Warragul factory added to allow for more fabrication and storage. We now have 20 plus staff including a qualified builder, 5 install framing carpenters, 8 welder/boilermakers, 6 labourers for onsite and factory work, along with two crane trucks and our own crawler spider crane.
